At Jacksonville Mobile Golf Cart Repair, we see a lot of recreational carts (vs club carts) for repairs or enrolled in our maintenance program. We’re often asked which golf carts we think are best or most affordable or requires the least amount of maintenance work. Those are all good questions and when it comes to which golf cart is the “best,” the answer is “it depends.”
We know, we know. You don’t want to hear that.
But it really does depend on what features you need for your specific situation. Do you plan to drive it on the street? Do you have golf cart lanes like some master plan communities have? Do you need it to also be ideal for a golf course with bag attachments?
These are all important things to consider.
We compiled a short list of our top 5 favorite golf carts. In it we try to highlight some of the features that might be appealing to some people vs others.
Without further ado, here is our list.

The Star SS 48
This golf cart comes with a very fair price tag considering all of the features it has. It has an amazing range for being 48 volt.
We had to end on a golf cart that had more appealing looks (we think the E-MERGE Ghosthawk is also a pretty cool-looking cart), and this one fit the bill.
It’s also comfortable and can go up to 19.5 miles per hour at peak speed.
